Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC)
KPC is the state-run oil company of Kuwait. The company controls proven reserves of 111 billion barrels of oil and 1.8 trillion cubic meters of natural gas. Headquarters are in Kuwait City.
While revenue is undisclosed, oil is thought to account for approximately 50% of GDP, which would put oil income at around $67 billion. The company produces 301,000 barrels of oil per day and supplies approximately 12% of the oil used by the United States.
The company’s upstream capabilities are somewhat limited compared to other NOCs. It is currently in talks with major IOCs to explore oil reserves in the north of the country. The company is involved in downstream, marine, service and delivery, and petrochemical areas of the industry as well.
