Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)

NNPC was established in 1977 to manage joint ventures with IOCs. Current joint ventures include ExxonMobil, Royal Dutch Shell, Chevron, and Texaco. NNPC is the tenth largest producer of oil and sits on oil deposits of 64 billion barrels as well as 184 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.

The NNPC exported 198 million barrels of oil in 2006, earning roughly $12 billion dollars. Daily production was 2.39 million barrels of oil per day in 2010. The company is vertically integrated in all five segments of the industry.
